Summer Camp Information

Registration for summer camps like STARS, SCORE, and Tween camp is easy, but does require a registration form and a copy of your child's immunization records at time of registration. Information on other summer camps like indoor rock climbing, circus, Cross Orchards, horsemanship, chess, swim, and Girls on the Run can be found in the summer activity guide. 

STARS Camp

The STARS (Summer Time Arts and Recreation) camp offers a one-of-a-kind day camp experience for your kids! Full of wide-ranging and hands-on classes, explorations, games, and activities, STARS caters to boys and girls entering 1st-8th grades. Campers will have the opportunity to visit the Colorado National Monument, explore the Math & Science Center, and the Orchard Mesa Middle School and East Middle School sites get to go swimming almost daily! Participants must bring a lunch in a backpack and wear tennis shoes.

Tween Extreme

This isn't your average summer camp! Get your 6th-8th graders out from in front of the TV and they will be inspired to stay active, discover new interests, and make life-long friends. Tween  campers have a style and a pace all their own and through a mixture of structured activities our program has been designed to meet their needs. Tween Extreme campers have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of activities, including horseback riding, rappelling, and even lifeguard training skills. Just like your preteens, Tween Extreme is always on the go, therefore drop off and pick up locations will change daily based on activities.

SCORE Camp

SCORE (Sports Camps Offer Recreation for Everyone is the cool place to be this summer! Camp will be based at Chipeta Elementary School but may move to nearby schools and parks. Participants will swim from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Lincoln Park-Moyer Pool, excluding Wednesdays when they will participate in other activities. No SCORE camp the week of July 1.

Counselor-In-Training Program

Want to be a STARS or SCORE staff member? The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program is the first step to becoming a camp counselor. In addition to working with children, gaining leadership experience, and receiving great job training, a CIT is involved in planning and implementing camp programs. Submitting an application does not guarantee a candidate's acceptance into the program. Interviews will be conducted in May.
